It all started Saturday morning...
We woke up bright and early on Saturday, packed up the car, dropped Lily off at my Mom's house and headed out. We made a crucial stop at Trader Jo.e's to grab some of our favorite snacks and drinks for the road. As well as Star.bucks! And we were ready for the 9 hour drive that lay ahead of us!We stopped for lunch/dinner at Crack.er Barrel. Delish as always, I snagged a pack of my favorite childhood gum :-)
After about 6 hours of driving, this Star.bucks sign was another welcome sight!
After about 9.5 hours, we finally arrive at our cabin. It was dark, rainy and a little scary. We got lost for about an hour in the woods/mountains. My cell phone died, his didn't have service, his iPad 3G wasn't working and neither was our regular GPS. Really? Don't you think we had enough "back up" to NOT have that issue? Oh and to make it even better....we were running out of gas--FAST. Ugh! I kind of lost it and once we finally found our cabin I refused to leave until the next morning.
I am happy to say we had a beautiful cabin with a beautiful view, it was clean and complete with a fireplace, kitchen, HUGE jacuzzi and hot tub. It was far enough away from the busy city, but close enough to a few neighbors to not feel all alone, with no cell service. haha!
The next day...
We headed to Ripley's Aquarium...and saw some awesome little creatures!
Blue Whale skeleton hanging behind me!
Scary huge crabs!
We finished out the day with...
The Lumberjack Feud Dinner show! It was so fun and the food was great!
LOVE the mason jars!
Part 2 Coming Soon!!!
